Barry Callabaut Chocolate Academy

After relocating its North American headquarters from Canada to Chicago, Barry Callebaut asked GH to oversee the grand opening of its first U.S. Chocolate Academy, the 12th in the world. GH developed invitations, announcements, press releases and the schedule for the celebration as well as coordinated outreach efforts to guests – which included foodservice and local media outlets, local pastry chefs and customers, community leaders and culinary students.
The grand opening was a grand success! Attendees included the Illinois state representative, executive and pastry chefs from popular local hotels and eateries, reporters from both major Chicago daily newspapers and more than a dozen writers and publishers from foodservice magazines. Barry Callebaut declared the event more than a success and is now enjoying a rapidly growing enrollment at the new Chocolate Academy.
